Welcome

Am I meeting you in times of personal or professional crisis? Or are you coming to counselling to gain perspective in life?

I have witnessed enough of my clients’ transformations and breakthroughs to have complete confidence in the restorative power of counselling therapy.

The therapeutic counselling I offer has its foundations in the humanistic approach, including works of Carl Rogers (Person-Centred), Marshall Rosenberg (Nonviolent Communication), John Wellwood (Conscious Relationship) and others. I am committed to authentic presence and compassionate communication but also to finding practical solutions and coming up with strategies that work for you.

To this end I integrate insights into my work from psychological approaches that go in harmony with our counselling process. Having trained in Focusing (Gendlin) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) my practice is also informed by these therapy models. Balancing the relationship between body and psyche, integrating our heart and mind, indeed, all aspects of ourselves, is key in the therapy I offer. Restoration of this balance makes a real difference to clients struggling with trauma, difficult life changes such as divorce, loss or illness, and in face of a relationship crisis.

As a committed meditator (with nearly 20 years of experience) my work is enriched by meditation and Mindfulness practices. I serve as a meditation instructor and mentor, as well as an interfaith chaplain.

My work undergoes regular supervision and is regulated by the Ethical Principles for BACP Professionals.
